Callus Care at the Salon: What to Expect
Calluses build up from friction and pressure over time — most commonly on heels and the balls of the feet. Here's how professional callus care actually works.
How It's Done
After a soak softens the skin, your technician uses a foot file or callus tool to gently reduce built-up hard skin, followed by a scrub and moisturizer. It's more gradual and controlled than most home tools, which reduces the risk of over-filing.
Salon Care vs. Home Remedies
At-home pumice stones and foot files can help between visits, but they're easy to overuse, which can thin skin too much or cause irritation. Salon callus care is more measured and paired with proper moisturizing right after.
Which Pedicure Package Includes It
Callus treatment is included starting at our P4 (Blue Nails Signature Pedicure) package, with a more thorough treatment in P5 Blue. See full package details on our Pedicures page.
How Often You Need It
Every 3–4 weeks keeps calluses from building back up significantly. If you're on your feet a lot for work, more frequent visits may help more than home care alone.
