What Is Bio Gel? Builder Gel Explained
"Bio Gel" and "builder gel" refer to the same idea: a flexible gel applied directly onto your natural nail to add strength, shine, and a small amount of structure — without tips or acrylic powder.
How It's Different from Gel-X
Gel-X uses pre-shaped tips glued on for instant length. Bio Gel goes directly onto your own nail with little to no added length — it's about strengthening what you already have, not extending it.
How It's Different from Acrylic
Acrylic is a powder-and-liquid system, generally more rigid and better for long lengths. Bio Gel is more flexible, feels closer to a natural nail, and has less odor during application.
Who Should Choose Bio Gel
Bio Gel is a great fit if your natural nails are healthy but thin, weak, or prone to bending, and you want them stronger without much added length. It's also a gentle option if you're taking a break from acrylic or Gel-X.
How Long It Lasts
Most guests rebook a fill every 2–3 weeks as the natural nail grows out from under the overlay.
