FSU & FAMU Gameday Nails: Ideas from Subtle to Statement
Gameday in Tallahassee means the whole city turns garnet and gold, or orange and green. A fresh set is part of the ritual — the trick is booking early enough that you're not squeezing in an appointment two hours before kickoff.
Garnet & Gold Set Ideas
A solid garnet gel with one gold accent nail — usually the ring finger — reads as team spirit without looking like a costume. A garnet French tip with a thin gold line at the smile line photographs well and holds up through a full day of tailgating.
Orange & Green Set Ideas
FAMU gameday sets follow the same logic — one bold color as the base, one accent nail, and the option to add a small hand-painted detail on a single nail rather than the whole set.
When to Book Before Kickoff
Home game weekends fill up fast. If you know your fall schedule, book your gel or Gel-X appointment 5–7 days out so the set has time to fully cure and settle in before game day.
